Public Notice - Sheriffs Office Now Hiring

A13/1-1 The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Civil Service Commission are announcing the procedure for applicants who seek the position of Deputy Sheriff and Communications Officer, as they become available. Application forms may be picked up Monday thru Thursday 7 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Offi ce, 200 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon TN 38344. Job descriptions may be requested from the Sheriff’s Offi ce. On January 21, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. promptly, there will be no late admittance. A written test will be administered to all applicants who have not previously been tested or failed a previous test. The test will be given at the Carroll County Sheriff’s Offi ce training room 200 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon TN 38344. The test will cover the areas of reading, math, and basic writing skills. The written test will conclude at 9:30 a.m. Immediately following the written test, interviews (oral examinations) will be conducted by a member of the Sheriff’s Offi ce and a member of the Civil Service Commission. All applications need to be turned into the Sheriff’s Offi ce no later than Tuesday January 14, 2025 at 4 p.m. Only the top 7 applicants in each category will be notified.
