Monday, McEwen earned a 2-0 road win in a pitching duel. McKenzie returned the favor in a big way Tuesday, running away with a 13-5 victory in McEwen.

When the Gibson County girls basketball team was eliminated in the Class 2A semifinals on March 11, most Lady Pioneer fans didn’t know it at the time, but it marked the end of an era. ERIN (January 24) —- McKenzie traveled to Houston County High School Friday for a pair of district basketball contests. The Lady Rebels led throughout and held off a late Lady Irish rally for a 58-54 win. The Rebels trailed at the half but dominated down the stretch for a 76-54 victory.
