The Commissioners of Elections for Carroll County, Tennessee hereby Call the Republican and Democratic County Primary Elections to be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 , for the purpose of submitting to qualified, registered voters of said county the candidates for the following offices: County Mayor, countywide (4-year term); County Commissioner, all districts (4-year term); Assessor of Property, countywide (4-year term); County Trustee, countywide (4-year term); Sheriff, countywide (4-year term); Circuit Court Clerk, countywide (4-year term); County Clerk, countywide (4-year term); Register of Deeds, countywide (4-year term); Road Supervisor, countywide (4-year term); and, Special School Districts. Special School Districts include Hollow Rock- Bruceton: District 15; District 16-Bruceton; District 16 At Large (all 3 HR-B civil districts vote for 1, 4-year term); Huntingdon: At Large (vote for 2, 6-year term); McKenzie: At Large (vote for 4, 4-year term); South Carroll: At Large (vote for 2, 4-year term); West Carroll: Old Atwood, Old County, Old Trezevant (all WCSSD civil districts vote for 1, 4-year term). The Qualifying Deadline is Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 12:00 noon. Withdrawal Deadline is Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 12:00 noon. The 1st day nominating petitions may be issued is Monday, December 22, 2025. NOTE: the deadlines apply to primary and independent candidates.
