City of McKenzie - Hiring Water Dept Laborer

The City of McKenzie will be accepting applications for laborer position for the Water Department. Candidate must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or its equivalent and pass the drug screen. Applications will be accepted at city hall until 4 p.m. on April 19. This is a full time position and includes benefi ts. • You must be able to perform manual labor, stooping, bending, twisting and lifting heavy weight at times. • The job consists of learning to maintain and repair water lines, fi re hydrants, and related equipment. Install water pipe and make repairs to water lines throughout the City’s entire distribution system. • Participates on emergency call out list which is in effect 24 hours a day for emergency water line/water main breaks. • Runs service orders. Locates water service and water mains, meter reading, check backs and water taps. • Makes necessary repairs to property after completing excavations.
