Town of Bruceton will be soliciting bids for Water Treatment Plant Improvements , located at 208 Suncrest Drive, Bruceton, Tennessee. The Water Treatment Plant Improvements is a utility improvement project with several functions for the Bruceton, Tennessee community. Project consists of replacing the existing high service pumps at the water treatment plant and providing SCADA and chlorine and turbidity monitoring capability. This project is being supported American Rescue Plan Act, Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity. Separate sealed bids for Water Treatment Plant Improvements will be received by the Town of Bruceton, City Hall, 209 Cheatham St., Bruceton, TN 38317 , until 2 p.m. on November 12, 2025 , and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. No bidder may withdraw his bid within (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Copeland “Anti-Kickback” Act is also applicable, which prohibits workers on construction contracts from giving up wages that they are owed. Contractors must not appear on Sam. gov disbarment list. A detailed listing of all subcontractors shall be provided by the Bidder. In accordance with the Contract Documents, documentation that the prospective General Contractor and its subcontractors meet minimum qualifications shall be provided and submitted. Subcontractors must also not appear on Sam.gov disbarment list. Mark-ups on subcontractor work or Cost Plus Overhead will be disallowed for reimbursement. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of his bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor of Town of Bruceton. Bids must be submitted with envelope label (provided in the bid documents) affixed to the front of the envelope. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
