Box 160, 38201 Sealed Bids for the construction of: • Bid Schedule A: approximately 10,500 LF of sanitary sewer evaluation surveys (SSES) along with the rehabilitation of approximately 9,500 LF of 8” gravity sewer lines. Additional work items include: smoke testing, heavy cleaning, point repairs, sewer lateral connection replacement, manhole rehabilitation/construction, cleanout replacement, and pavement repair. • Bid Schedule B: replacement of three (3) above-ground package lift stations and one (1) below-ground grinder lift station. Additional work items include: WWTP digester blower replacement, WWTP sampler replacement (influent and effluent), and WWTP Lab Building repair/maintenance. Suppliers, Manufacturers and Subcontractors wanting only the Digital copy of Documents may obtain same upon payment of $75.00 per CD. Payment is not refundable. Bids from anyone not on the Engineer’s Plan Holders List will not be opened. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid to insure the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the City of McKenzie, TN within ten (10) days after the time he has been notified of the acceptance of his bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages for the failure to do so. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids.
