The City of McKenzie will be accepting resumes from interested applicants for the Ward 4 Council seat which will become vacant June 1. Interested persons in Ward 4 should submit a resume and a letter to the City Council which ex- plains their interest in the position and how their service can benefit the City of McKenzie. Requirements for the position include: • Attending the regularly scheduled council meetings, workshops, and called meetings. • Completing the newly elected officials’ academy during the first year. • Completing 12 hours of the Water Commission Training (TN state mandate) during the first year. • Continuing education trainings each year. The applicants will be voted on at the June 13 City Council Meeting, and will be sworn in at the July 11 Council Meeting.
