Public Notice - Carroll County Sheriffs Office Hiring

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Civil Service Commission are announcing the procedures for applicants who seek the position of Deputy Sheriff and Communication Officer, as they become available. Application forms may be picked up Monday thru Thursday 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Offi ce, 200 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon, TN 38344. Job descriptions may be requested from the Sheriff’s Offi ce. On April 18, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. promptly, there will be no late admittance. A written test will be administered to all applicants who have not previously been tested or failed a previous test. The test will be given at the Carroll County Sheriff’s Offi ce training room 200 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon, TN 38344. The test will cover the areas of reading, math, and basic writing skills. The written test will conclude at 9:30 a.m. Immediately following the written test,interviews (oral examinations) will be conducted by a member of the Sheriff’ Offi ce and a member of the Civil Service Commission. All applications need to be turned into the Sheriff’s Offi ce no later than Thursday April 13, 2023, at 4 p.m. Only the top 7 applicants in each category will be notifi ed.
