Public Notice - Elderly Voters

Any elderly voter (60 years of age or older) or a voter with a disability, whose polling place is not accessible, may choose to come to the County Election Commission office to vote either during the Early Voting period, on Election Day by appointment, or absentee by mail. If the voter chooses to vote at the election office on Election Day, the voter must provide the election office with written notice by July 27, 2020, of his/her intention to vote there on Election Day. If the voter registered by mail, (s)he must vote in-person in the first election the voter votes in. To request an absentee ballot, the voter must do so by July 30, 2020. Requests must be mailed to the Carroll County Election Commission Office, 625 High Street, Suite 113, Huntingdon, TN 38344 and the office hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. CURRENT OR OLD TENNESSEE PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED TO VOTE IN PERSON AT THE ELECTION OFFICE DURING EARLY VOTING AND ON ELECTION DAY AT YOUR PRECINCT. EARLY VOTING Early Voting will be July 17-August 1, 2020 . Voting hours are 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Hours on Saturdays, during the Early Voting period, are 9 a.m.-12 noon. All voters are eligible to vote early. The Early Voting location is ONLY at the Election Commission Office .
