NOTIFICATION REGARDING ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIALS School Year 2019-2020 As you may be aware, the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (USEPA) has regulations regarding asbestos containing materials in schools. These regulations require all schools to conduct surveys to identify the presence of asbestos in their building, develop a site-specifi c asbestos management plan and implement appropriate response actions, as nec- essary. An additional requirement is for all parents, teachers and em- ployees to be informed at least once a year about inspections, response actions, and post responses/actions that are planned or are in progress. You are invited to review the asbestos management plan, which is avail- able at the individual school’s administrative offi ce, or at the West Carroll Special School District Administration Building located at 1415 Highway 77, Atwood, Tennessee.
