The City of McKenzie, TN has purchased playground equipment and engineered wood fi ber safety surface for Mulberry Park and City Park and musical equipment for Harmony Park. The items are a Local Parks and Recreation grant award. These items are owner provided and not included in this bid package. This bid package is for the installation of the play equipment, recycled plastic bor- der panels, and musical equipment. The full list of components is listed below. The contractor is also responsible for unloading and inventorying all of the play equipment. The location of where to unload the equipment is to be agreed upon by the City of McKenzie. Site Conditions: There needs to be a slight amount of site prep to be ready for installation. The City of McKenzie will have the site ready and will not be the re- sponsibility of the contractor for this bid. Contractor Qualifications: The contractor for this job must have installed no fewer than (10) similar sets within the last 5 years. A list with the customer’s name, address, title, and phone number must be provided with the bid. The contractor must be certifi ed by the manufacturer and shall include a copy of their certifi cation with the bid. The contractor must include a copy of their insurance certificate with the bid. List of Playground and Safety Surface Components: Drawings are available upon request for the 2-dimension top view and 3-dimensional images of the equip- ment. All equipment will be direct buried in concrete footings. The contractor is responsible for all concrete for the footings. There will be no portable equipment. The equipment will consist of the following: Harmony Park: Install a Premium musical package from Free Notes Harmony Park. Exact location to be determined. Installation is in a grassy area. No safety surface will be installed in this area. The manufacturer will provide installation instructions for all of the above items. It is the responsibility of the contractor to call about utilities before digging The contractor will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of both the play- ground equipment. Phone numbers and contacts names for the manufacturers will be provided to the contractor. The contractor will need to coordinate the exact location of the play equipment with the City of McKenzie prior to installation. The contractor will be responsible for disposal of all waste materials. No waste materials shall be left on the job site.
