NW TN Area Agency on Aging - CREVAA Program

The AAAD has a full-time job opening for a CREVAA Advocate Assistant. This position will seamlessly locate, coordinate, and ensure the provision of both emergency and long-term victim-centered services and resources to elder and vulnerable adult victims of crime in the planning and service area. Through the CREVAA program, the advocate will arrange for the provision of emergency, victim centered services and resources as specified through policy and procedure and contract. The advocate will also facilitate meetings and conduct education and outreach events to inform stakeholders and the general public about the CREVAA program. These services will be provided to elder and vulnerable adult victims of crime in the district planning and service area. Requirements: • Must possess an undergraduate degree from a four year college or university. (Social Services/Work or Gerontology preferred) AND • The equivalent of two years of full-time work experience with at least one year in aging, case management, social services and /or advocacy, or related fields. • Pass a criminal background check. • Travel is required for this position- must have reliable transportation.
