The Town of Trezevant seeks citizen participation in reconstituting its seven (7) member Industrial Development Board (IDB) established pursuant to TCA 7-53-101 et seq. The IDB is elected by the Board of Mayor & Aldermen (Board) to serve without compensation for Staggered 2, 4, and 6 year terms. Applicants must be qualified to vote in any Trezevant municipal election and willing to complete a conflict of interest statement. The IDB and its meetings are subject to the Tennessee Open Meetings Act, so any applicant elected must be willing to participate in public meetings in connection with his/her service. Potential candidates for the IDB should be prepared for an interview by the Trezevant Board of Mayor and Alderman, as well as an orientation and training component to the election process.
