Public Notice - Carroll County Sheriffs Office

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Civil Service Commission are announcing the procedure for applicants who seek the position of Deputy Sheriff, Communications Officer and Clerical Personnel as they become available. Application forms may be picked up Monday-Thursday 6:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office, 200 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon, TN 38344. Job descriptions may be requested from the Sheriff’s Office. On January 24, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. promptly, there will be no late admittance. A written test will be administered to all applicants who have not previously been tested or failed a previous test. The test will be given at the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office training room, 200 Norandal Drive, Huntingdon, TN 38344. The test will cover the areas of reading, math and basic writing skills. The written test will conclude at 9:30 a.m. Immediately following the written test, interviews (oral examinations) will be conducted by a member of the Sheriff’s Office and a member of the Civil Service Commission. All applications need to be turned into the Sheriff’s Office no later than January 19, 2023 at 4 p.m. Only the top seven applicants in each category will be notified.
