McKENZIE SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT JANUARY 6, 2021 Sealed proposals for mowing, weed-eating, and general landscaping as necessary, all the school property currently owned by the McKenzie Special School District will be received by the McKenzie Special School District at 114 West Bell Avenue, McKenzie, TN 38201 by Friday, February 12, 2021 at 10 a.m., at which time the bidding will close and the proposals opened. The property consists of 15 acres at McKenzie High School, approximately 14 acres at McKenzie Middle School, and approximately 9 acres at the McKenzie Elementary School, including the McKenzie Board of Education Central Office Building and adjacent properties. All bids must include the number and type of equipment that will be used. All bidders must include evidence of a minimum of $250,000 liability insurance within three (3) days of confirmation of bid award. WITH INITIAL AGREEMENT AND SATISFACTION, CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO A THREE-YEAR CONTRACT. All bidders should visit the High School, 23292 Hwy. 22; Middle School, 80 Woodrow Ave.; and the Elementary School, 165 Brooks Avenue, to determine the actual scope of work. Bidders are required to quote their charge per mowing / weed-eating, including general landscaping consisting of maintenance of school- owned shrubbery and mulching as specified. The terms of the contract will include monthly payments based on 28 mowings / weed-eating per year, and semi-annual landscaping obligations. The successful bidder will be required to visit each site on a weekly basis to determine the scope of work that will be required to maintain each campus.
