CITY OF McKENZIE WATER DEPT. ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS The City of McKenzie will be accepting applications for laborer posi- tion for the Water Department. Candidate must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or its equivalent and pass the pre-employment drug screen. Applications will be accepted at city hall until 4:00 p.m. on April 9th. This is a full-time position and includes excellent benefits such as health insurance and the State TCRS retirement plan. • You must be able to perform manual labor, stooping, bending, twist- ing and lifting heavy weight at times. • The job consists of learning to maintain and repair water lines, fi re hydrants, and related equipment. Install water pipe and make re- pairs to water lines throughout the City’s entire distribution system. • Participates on emergency call out list which is in effect 24 hours a day for emergency water line/water main breaks. • Runs service orders. Locate water service and water mains, meter reading, check backs and water taps. • Makes necessary repairs to property after completing excavations. Perform landscaping duties, and other duties as necessary to re- store property to original condition • An ability to tolerate work in all weather and season conditions is also required.
