A947/40-1 Town of Bruceton will be soliciting bids for Automatic Water Meters on the property located in Bruceton, Tennessee. The Automatic Water Meters is a utility improvement project with several functions for the Bruceton, Tennessee community. Project consists of the replacement of approximately 800 water meters with remote read capability and AMI. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10 a.m. on October 9, 2024 at Town of Bruceton, City Hall, 209 Cheatham Street, Bruceton, TN 38317 . This project is being supported American Rescue Plan Act, Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity. Separate sealed bids for Automatic Water Meters will be received by Town of Bruceton, City Hall, 209 Cheatham Street, Bruceton, TN 38317 , until 2 p.m. on November 19, 2024 , and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The Copeland “Anti-Kickback” Act is also applicable, which prohibits workers on construction contracts from giving up wages that they are owed. Contractors must not appear on Sam.gov disbarment list. A detailed listing of all subcontractors shall be provided by the Bidder. In accordance with the Contract Documents, documentation that the prospective General Contractor and its subcontractors meet minimum qualifi cations shall be provided and submitted. Subcontractors must also not appear on Sam. gov disbarment list. Mark-ups on subcontractor work or Cost Plus Overhead will be disallowed for reimbursement. A bid bond or certifi ed check for fi ve percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of his bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor of Town of Bruceton.
