McKENZIE, Tenn. — Mrs. Alva Lee Tegethoff, 88, died Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Henry County Health and Rehabilitation in Paris.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Tegehoff is on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home, with her grandson, Steven Thompson, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Tegehoff family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.

She was born on October 26, 1937, in Carroll County to the late Virgil Tegethoff and Roberta Wilkinson Tegethoff. Mrs. Tegethoff worked for many years and retired from Magnolia Manor Assisted Living in McKenzie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Tegethoff; daughter, Cristal Conway; three brothers, Joe Wilkinson, Ricky Wilkinson and Edward Wilkinson.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Tandi Conway, Steven Thompson, and Angel Cooke; two sisters and one brother, Carol Tidwell, Ann Camp, and Bruce Wilkinson. Other survivors include six great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Bo, Trevor, Lukas, Arleigh, and Nicholas, and one great-great-grandchild, Tompanga.
