Carlton Walls

Mr. Carlton Walls, 94, formerly of Huntingdon, moved to Knoxville in 1998, died Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.

Funeral services were on Sunday, November 9, 2025 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating. Burial was in Carroll Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Walls was born February 19, 1931, in Lavinia, Tennessee, to the late Alton Avery Walls and Gladys Easter (McMinn) Walls. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a Boiler Fireman for the Milan Arsenal for twenty-six years, and was a faithful member of the West Knoxville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mildred Marie (Eskew)Walls, two brothers, Allen Walls and Russell Walls, and a sister, Maxine Mauldin.

He is survived by: two sons, Dwayne (Paula) Walls of Huntingdon, Dwight (Linda) Walls of Paris, Tennessee and a daughter, Starr (Shawn) Leehans of Knoxville, Tennessee; two sisters, Brenda Shank, of Austin, Texas, Mattie Ruth Holt, of Glenrose, Texas,  four grandchildren, Katherine Hawkins (Daryl) of Huntingdon, Virginia (Dane) Bailey of Trenton, Tennessee, Lily Stevens and Dexter Stevens of Knoxville and six great-grandchildren.
