 McKenzie, Tenn.- Funeral services for Charlie Ross Cooper are Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery, McKenzie, Tenn. 

Mr. Cooper, 87, died at his residence on Friday, November 1, 2024. He was born in McKenzie on June 26, 1937, to Herman Utah Cooper and Josie Louise Neal Cooper. After graduation, he moved to Indiana and worked in the steel mill, only to return to McKenzie as soon as his children were grown. He was a member of First Baptist Church and an avid McKenzie Rebels fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Paul) Webster of Yuley, Florida.; son, Randy Cooper of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Amanda (Ian) Valley, Trenton Ross Cooper, and Bradley Charles Cooper and two great-grandchildren, Declan Valley and Collin Valley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jan Swader Cooper of 62 years, seven brothers, Wayne Cooper, JR Cooper, William Neal Cooper, Russel Glenn Cooper, Warren Cooper, Wade Austin Cooper, and Johnny Cooper, and one sister, Dorothy Cooper.Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home.
