McKENZIE - Joint funeral services for Derrick L. Potter and Elisha Miller Potter are at 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday from noon to 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.

Mrs. Potter, 31, died Saturday, July 6, 2024, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle wreck. She was born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on February 18, 1993, to Jack Miller and Bridget Tuohy Helms. She was co-owner of Liberty Hardscapes & Excavation, LLC.

She is survived by his sons, Micheal Potter and Dominic Potter of McKenzie, her mother, Bridget (Aaron) Helms of Wheatfield, Indiana, father, Jack ( Stephanie) Miller of Terre Houte, Indiana, two sisters, Erica Helms and Emma Helms and a brother, Aaron Helms all of Wheatfield, Indiana and maternal grandparents, Edward (Margaret) Tuohy of Demotte, Indiana, Rex (Donna) Myers of Wheatfield, Indiana and paternal grandparents, Jack (Joyce) Miller of Demotte, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Derrick Lee Potter and grandfather, Jack Helms.
