Mr. Doug Barger, 76, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Monday, April 7, 2025 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services were Monday, April 14, 2025, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home, with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating. Burial with military funeral honors will follow at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads

Mr. Barger was born July 28, 1948 to the late William Clayton Barger and Gracie Berlyn (Kelly) Barger. He was a plumber in construction, enjoyed billiards with family and friends weekly. He also enjoyed spending time with his fellow veterans as he served as an E5 Sergeant as a veteran of Vietnam War where he served in the 9th division infantry outfit 3rd Battalion 47th Mobile Riverine, 1968 – 1969 Mekong Delta Vietnam where he received two bronze stars, a good conduct medal, CIB combat infantry badge and air medal. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Barger Jones, a brother, William Kelly, and a sister, Peggy Ray Rich.

He is survived by his daughter, Keisha Barger Jones of Olive Branch, Tennessee, a granddaughter, Jordan King (Hunter) of Brandon, Mississippi, a brother, Ricky Barger (Denise) of Huntingdon.
