Mr. E. H. Butler Jr., 79, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Sunday, July 14, 2024 at The Waters of McKenzie.

The family asks that memorials be directed to St. Jude or the Never Quit Foundation.

Funeral services are Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. David Culp and Bro. Frank McGee officiating. Interment will follow in Humbles Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room Tuesday, July 16, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday, 9 a.m. until time of the service.

James Churchwell, Robert Churchwell, Michael Lynn Kyle, Hershel Bailey, Danny Barham, and Chris Lutz will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers who will serve are Earl Hammett, Joe Smothers and Donnie Cary.

Mr. Butler was born February 8, 1945, in Spanish Grove, to the late Ezra Herman Sr., and Lila Mai Norden Butler. He served in the National Guard, enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his family whom he loved dearly, especially the grandkids and Mattie. He attended Mt Zion Church. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Morine Cary and Brenda Johnson, and a brother, Gerald Ray Butler.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Glenda Butler, a son, Clint Butler (Gina) of Huntingdon, and a sister, Shirley McDaniel (Paul) of Paris. He also leaves three grandchildren, Dylan (Kaylynn), Drake, and Brooke, and one great-granddaughter, Mattie.
