Elaine Williams, 1933 – 2026

McKENZIE — Elaine Williams, 92, of McKenzie, Tenn., died peacefully at her residence on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.., and again on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Elaine was born on December 16, 1933, in Holly Springs, Mississippi, to the late Robert Anderson Seale and Olive Jones Seale.

Elaine dedicated many years of service as the president’s secretary at Bethel University before her retirement. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church, an active participant in the Inglenook Book Club, and a devoted volunteer known as a “Pink Lady” at McKenzie Hospital. Elaine will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to her community, and love for her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Elaine Brown and Laura Lei Williams, both of McKenzie; two brothers, Robert A. Seale of Holly Springs, Mississippi, and David Seale (Linda); one sister, Michelle Hagins; four grandchildren, Justin Brown (Kristi), Jake Brown (Melissa), Colton Barley, and DeeAnn Williams Fulcher (Matt); ten great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Becky Coop.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Joe F. Williams, Sr.; and her son, Joe F. Williams, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
