BRUCETON — Mr. Hal Eason, 73, of Bruceton, Tennessee, died Monday, April 6, 2026, at St. Thomas West in Nashville.

Funeral services are on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

Mr. Eason was born August 17, 1952, in Jackson, Tennessee to the late Robert Calvin and Lois Jean Eason. He was a locomotive engineer for CSX Railroad. He was a member and deacon of Prospect Baptist Church, a member of the Bruceton Lions Club, the Carroll County School Board, County director with Farm Bureau, and a county commissioner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Smothers Eason.

He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Ruth Roney, Sara Beth Eason, both of Bruceton, two sisters, Alice Stanfield (Bobby), Ellen McMackin (Donnie), both of Huntingdon, a brother, Dennis Eason (Becky) of McKenzie, and two granddaughters, Ella Ruth and Taylor Beth.
