McKENZIE, Tenn. -       Funeral services for James R. Denman are Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 29, 2024, 5 – 7 p.m. and Friday, 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Everett’s Chapel Cemetery, McKenzie.
Mr. Denman, 86, died at his residence on August 27, 2024. He was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church and a retired truck driver for U.S.A. Truck Inc..
He was born in Dayton, Tenn. on March 15, 1938, to E.H. and Lela Cox Denman.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Grissom Denman of McKenzie, a daughter, MeLisa (Hank) Greve of Milan, a son, Michael (Kimberly) Denman of Henry, two sisters, Roselyn Witherspoon and Sarah (Don) Payne, all of Maryville, five grandchildren, Natasha Marie Friedl, AJ (Jennifer) Greve, Hendrix(Katie) Greve, Nelson (Megan) Denman and Braden Clare Denman and seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Davidson, Greyson Friedl, Olivia Friedl, Brynn Greve, Bo Denman, Abraham Douglas and Ezra Douglas.
 He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Carolyn Leonard, Mary Ruth Hankins, Rachel Denman and two brothers, Leland Denman and E.H Denman, Jr.
In lieu of flowers ,the family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Beech Springs Baptist Church, Gleason, Tenn..
