Jewell Newman

Mrs. Jewell Newman, 93, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Monday, April 29, 2024, at Cades Center Assisted Living.

Funeral services were Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment was in Carter’s Chapel Cemetery. Brother Phil Williams officiating.

Mrs. Newman was born March 2, 1931 to the late Seth Thomas and Millie Hayes Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Clayton Newman, and a member of Carter’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Rob) Blankenship of Huntingdon, Tennessee; three sons Tony (Kay) Newman of Jackson, Tennessee, Keith (Janice) Newman of McLemoresville, Tennessee and Jeremy (Bonnie) Newman of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one sister, Ruby (Mel) Alexander of Milan, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren Tracy (Mike) Foster, Austin (Kristine) Newman, Ashley Newman, Sommer Newman Hovis, Ben (Haley) Newman, Amanda (Chris) Sneed, Holly (Joey) Waugh, Colton Blankenship, Randy Carey, Terry Carey and Jenny (Scott) Diffie; twenty-one great-grandchildren.
