John Thomas “Johnny” Scott

PARIS, Tenn. - John Thomas “Johnny” Scott, age 73, of Paris died Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Patriot Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Hfrom 4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21. Burial was at a later date in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Johnny was born May 21, 1951, in Henry Co., Tenn. to the late L.C. & Gertie Ellis Scott.

Johnny was a member of Mansfield Baptist Church. He was known as “Popcorn Johnny” for serving popcorn at Henry School ballgames.

Johnny is survived by four sons: Jeff Scott of Knoxville, Josh (Jeanne) Scott of Maryville, Tenn, Matt Scott of Buchanan, Tenn., and Derek (Latisha) Scott of McKenzie, Tenn., sisters, Carolyn (William) Wade of Tullahoma, Tenn. and Linda (Gary) Montgomery of Paris; grandchildren, Jenny (Brad) Wade, Shannah Scott; Emilee (Dylan) Roberts, Dylan Scott, Devin Scott, Kadin Scott; Kathryn Bennett, Matthew Scott, Autumn Scott; Laila Scott, and Sara Scott; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Scott, and a grandchild, Ariana Scott.
