Joyce F. James

McKENZIE, Tenn. - Graveside services for Joyce F. James are Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Mrs. James, 86 , died at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital on Friday, June 7, 2024. She was a First Baptist Church McKenzie member and a retired stylist and the owner of Joyce’s Coiffure’s in McKenzie.

She was born in Greenfield, on July 18, 1937, to Guy and Beatrice Williams Johnson. After graduation, she attended Anderson Beauty College and married John James, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy James Hunter of Columbia and Debbie (Doug) Freeland of Jackson, a brother, Billy G. (Marion) Johnson of Bradford, and four grandchildren, Courtney (Jake) Grissim, Chase Hunter, Ashley (Adam) Pratt and Tyler Freeland.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, John James, Jr.
