Mr. Larry Glynn Williams, 89, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 9 a.m. with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating. Interment with military funeral honors will follow in Liberty All Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday,  2-5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the UMYF at First United Methodist Church in Huntingdon or an organization that supports youth activities.

He was born December 24, 1935, in Carroll County to the late C. Edwin and Margaret (Butler) Williams. He retired as a purchasing agent for Norandal after 31 years of service. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Huntingdon, where he had served as treasurer and on the Board of Finance. He served on active duty as a paratrooper and platoon sergeant in the 82nd Airborne and reserve duty in the Tennessee National Guard and later in the Air Force Reserve. He was active for many years in minor, little and Babe Ruth baseball leagues, band boosters, quarterback club, scouting and other youth activities. He loved to collect and restore classic cars and shared his interest with others.  

He was also preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Margaret Jane Williams, a son, Gary Alan Williams, a sister, Sarah Williams Patterson and a brother, Barton Williams.

He is survived by a son, Brian Williams (Stephanie) and their daughter Rayanna of Jackson, four nephews and three nieces.
