He retired from DuPont and was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Minnie Cooper.
He leaves behind two daughters, Ashley Cooper of Austin, Texas, and Amy Cooper of Camden, Tennessee, two granddaughters, Amora Willis of Camden, Tennessee, and Severa Grimaldo of Austin, Texas, a sister, Susan Montgomery (Ricky) of Lexington, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages honoring his memory by spending time outdoors, respecting nature and sharing the traditions he held near.
