Richard Alton Cross

Mr. Richard Alton Cross, 82, of Westport, Tennessee died Monday, February 9, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services were in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2026, with Bro. Billy Clark officiating.  Interment will follow in Jamison Cemetery.

Mr. Cross was born January 5, 1944, in Westport, to the late Alton and Dora Lee Hilliard Cross. He was a supervisor at Norandal.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra Cross, a daughter, Melanie Brown (Ricky) of Martin, a son, Mark Cross (Diane) of Huntingdon. He also leaves four grandchildren, Brett Cross (Shelby), Bryan Cross, Kaleigh Mehlhorn (Robert) and Shawn Brown, and two great-grandchildren, Caroline and Rhett Cross.
