Richard J. Sands

McKENZIE, Tenn. — Richard J. Sands, 93, of McKenzie, died on July 6, 2025. The memorial service is Saturday, July 27, at 2 p.m. at 21309 Highway 22 in McKenzie, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Rose Marie Sands, and a son, John William Sands. He was the son of Judson and Nellie Sands of New York. He leaves behind four children, Edward, James Sands and wife, Teresa of McKenzie, David Richard Sands and wife, Kay of Henry, two daughters, Janet, Marie Guerrieri of McKenzie, and Elizabeth Ann Cole and husband, Allen, 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
