PARIS, Tenn. - Sue Cooper Gebert, 85, of Paris, Tenn., died Sunday, November 3, 2024, at her residence.

Sue formerly worked at Ceco Door and as a dispatcher at Times DC Trucking. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she loved working with small children. Sue deeply loved her church and church family. She enjoyed coloring, art, gardening, and working in her yard.

She married Gerald Lloyd “Jerry” Gebert on August 4, 1990, and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2019.

Born August 3, 1939, in Cottage Grove, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Treamon Cooper and Clara Paschall Cooper.

Survivors include five children, Barry (Kelly) Carter of Youngstown, Florida, Bryan (Amanda) Carter of Paris, Sandy (Jeff) Dowdy, of Collierville, Tenn., Jeff  (Eileen) Gebert, of College Grove, Tenn., and Scott (Karen) Gebert of Florida; a brother, Tommy (Ronda) Cooper of Paris; twelve grandchildren, Tyler (Hannah Prince) Carter, Tanner (Kathryn Noles) Carter, Stan (Hong) Carter, Kristi (Ben) Gibson, Vivien Carter, Lilien Carter, Jilien Carter, Zane Carter, Willa Carter, Graham Dowdy, Christopher Gebert, and Nicole Dowdy; and five great-grandchildren, Rowen Gibson, Israel Gibson, Leona Gibson, Lewis Carter, and Carter Gibson.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, is handling the arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, November 7, 2024, 4 -  7 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Visitation continues Friday, November 8, 2024, at Fairview Baptist Church, 113 Memorial Dr., Paris, TN 38242, after 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Her funeral service is Friday, November 8, 2024, at noon at Fairview Baptist Church with Johnathan Smith officiating.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow in the Rose Lawn Memory Garden.
