Mrs. Sue Crockett,79, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services are on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Chris King officiating.  Interment to follow in Flatwoods Cemetery in Camden.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Tony Wyatt, Stan Kisala, Mark Simons, Jimmy Hampton, Joey Gooch and Willett Coffman. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Smith, Larry Harris, James Crum, Bobby Hardy and Jimmy Pinson.

Mrs. Crockett was born November 29, 1945 in Hornbeak, Tennessee to the late Aubrey and Mary Katherine Hudson Beard. She was a bookkeeper for Jim's Electronics, and a member of Huntingdon Church of Christ, where she was a Bible class teacher. She was president of Carroll County Right to Life for several years, and she also worked with the local jail ministry. She loved to sew clothes for her grandchildren and crochet. She loved to cook for any occasion, especially the holidays, when she made pumpkin and lemon pies, and her famous cream cheese cookies. While working as a bookkeeper, she was also a homemaker, and she received a degree in computer science.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim Crockett of Huntingdon, a daughter, Diana Walker (Matthew) of Huntingdon, a son, Larry Crockett (Gina) of Nashville, a sister, Jo Ann Beard, of Knoxville, three grandchildren, Jessica Crockett, Jamie Lyn Crockett, and Hannah Neely. She also leaves special cousins Betty Joyce Bruce, Marilyn Flowers (Joe) and Kathey Hicks, as well as other loved ones and friends.
