DUI, Driving on Revoked Driver License — Kennon R. Johnson, 67, of Huntingdon, was arrested and charged with DUI first offense, Driving on a Revoked or Suspended License, and Violation of Implied Consent Law on 6/22/24. Officer Justen Roberts observed a black Tahoe turn left onto Paris Street from Clark Street. By turning left onto Paris Street, the vehicle was driving the wrong way down a one-way road, so Officer Roberts initiated a traffic stop. The defendant immediately exited his vehicle and attempted to approach the officers. Roberts informed Johnson to wait by his vehicle. A check with dispatch confirmed that Johnson didn’t have a driver’s license. When Officer Roberts approached the vehicle, he could smell the odor of alcohol coming from his person and located inside the vehicle was an unopened can of Michelob Ultra and cup containing tequila in the center console cup holder. Johnson failed the field sobriety test and refused to provide a blood sample. He was then taken to Carroll County Jail.
