From the Oct 21, 2025 e-EditionDriving on Suspended License, Speeding — According to a report made Sept. 29, Officer Malachi Arline observed a silver 2015 Chrysler 200 traveling northbound on Paris Street at 53 mph in a posted 35-mph zone. The driver, Nicki M. Cannon, 44, was stopped and informed of the violation. A check through dispatch revealed her driver’s license was suspended out of Milan City Court for failure to pay fines. Cannon stated she believed she had paid the ticket. She was cited for driving on a suspended license and speeding and given 10 days to report to Carroll County Jail for booking and a court date.
Criminal Trespass, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia — According to a report made Sept. 30, Officer Dexter Richardson responded to a residence on Paris Street regarding a male subject attempting to unlawfully enter the home. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Kiowa P. Geans, 35, who was reported to have been banging on the door demanding to see a woman not present. Geans was taken into custody for criminal trespass. During a pat-down at the Carroll County Jail, officers found a clear cylindrical pipe containing black burnt residue consistent with drug use. Geans was additionally charged with possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and was held on a $1,500 bond, which he refused to sign.
Domestic Assault, Child Welfare Check — According to a report made Oct. 1, Field Training Officer Jonathan McDowell and Patrolman Christian Lee responded to Bridgman Street in Huntingdon regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Kayla Bowden, 36, and a male subject following a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
The male displayed visible scratches on his arm, neck, and knuckles, which he stated were caused by Bowden during the incident.
Bowden admitted to hitting the man during the confrontation and confirmed that her actions were not in self-defense. After determining Bowden was the primary aggressor, officers conducted a welfare check on a child present at the scene. Due to the man’s alcohol consumption, officers discussed alternate supervision for the child.
During this time, Bowden became upset, slammed the front door, and cursed at officers. She was placed under arrest for domestic assault and transported to the Carroll County Jail.
Assault — According to a report made Oct. 5, Officer Dexter Richardson was dispatched to the Huntingdon Police Department regarding a juvenile who reported being assaulted at work. The investigation revealed that William A. Reeves, 19, had repeatedly threatened and assaulted a coworker at Walmart. The victim stated Reeves had shoved and choked him on multiple occasions and had also made threats to kill him if he reported the incidents to police.
Security footage reviewed by officers showed Reeves physically shoving and shoulder-checking the victim several times. Warrants were issued for Reeves for assault.
