Driving On Suspended ­— Gary L. Hutchens, 64, Travis Road, Martin, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Violation of Financial Responsibility, and Failure of Display of Registration on December 1.

Officer Darren Davis observed Hutchens’ vehicle with the registration plate not illuminated and stopped it. He determined Hutchens’ license was suspended for failure to provide proof of insurance and cited him in Carroll County General Sessions Court.

DUI ­­— Derick D. Staten, 35, Walnut Avenue, McKenzie, was charged with Driving Under the Influence and Violation of Window Tint on November 30.

Officer Dustin McClure observed the window tint was too dark on Staten’s vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The officer noticed an open can of beer and other unopened beer in the rear passenger area. A check of the window tint revealed it was out of compliance. Staten was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which resulted in the DUI charge. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Driving on Suspended License — Paul D. Robinson, 5th Street, North Little Rock, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License and Speeding on November 29.

Officer Bryan Batchelder stopped Robinson’s vehicle was speeding. A license check revealed the suspended status out of Arkansas. He was cited into court.

Simple Possession — Joby Lynn Farough, 53, of Nunnely, Tennessee was charged with Simple Possession of Schedule 1 and Schedule 6, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Violation of Window Tint laws on November 26.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped Farough’s vehicle for an apparent window tint violation. The report indicated that officers could smell marijuana. A search of the vehicle resulted in 5.33 grams of marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, THC butter and a grinder.

The vehicle was towed and Farough was transported to Carroll County Jail.

Escape — Charles D. Dunning, 40, homeless, McKenzie, was arrested on charges Escape and Failure to Appear on November 27.

Both were active warrants on file. Officer Dalton Raspberry observed Dunning walking on Florida Avenue and made the arrest. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.
