From the Oct 1, 2024 e-EditionAggravated Assault, Domestic Assault — According to a report made by Officer Billy King, on September 22, he responded to a call that came about a woman walking on Jones St. in Huntingdon, bleeding from her head. The victim stated that Larry Teague, 45, of Huntingdon, had struck her with a belt, and when she told him she was bleeding he struck her again. She stated that he grabbed her phone and shattered it on the floor when she was trying to call for help. She ran to her neighbor’s house to use the phone. The victim went to Baptist Memorial emergency room to be seen, and Larry was picked up from his residence and arrested.
Vandalism, Public Intoxication, Criminal Trespass — According to a report made by Officer Malachi Arline, on September 14, he was dispatched to a home because of an intruder attempting to enter the residence. The homeowner had captured video footage of an individual tampering with her property in the backyard. The officers secured the residence and reviewed the video footage from the backyard camera. The footage identified the suspect as William H. Hollowell, 41, of Huntingdon. Officers located Hollowell walking down the road, and he appeared to be intoxicated, and arrested him and took him to Carroll County Jail.
Shoplifting — According to a report made by Officer Jonathan McDowell, on September 15, Walmart security had made a call and said that they had a shoplifter and requested police help. Security officer Joe Lowe was walking out of the store behind a white older male on a motorized shopping cart when police arrived. Lowe was telling the male to stop but he kept driving out of the store. Officer McDowell kept trying to get the male to get off the cart and he kept refusing and saying no; so, he was told he was under arrest. The man then grabbed his dog and tried to hold it to keep from being arrested. The male was eventually restrained and handcuffed. He had stolen merchandise in his waistband. The male was Daryl E. Ross, 65, of Paris. Due to the fact the male had a dog and no one to come take care of it the defendant was cited and given 10 days to report to booking.
Criminal Trespass — According to a report made by Officer Ethan Parham, on 9-18-24, Maurice Lee Lawrence, 31, homeless, was trespassing at Wendy’s and taken to Carroll County Jail.
Public Intoxication — According to a report made by Officer Malachi Arline, on 9-14-24, Ryan Porter, 35, of Holladay, was arrested for being loud and unruly inside Moon Light Tattoo shop in Huntingdon. Ryan admitted to consuming several drinks earlier in the evening.
