A victim reported that her boyfriend, Jonathan Case, 34, of Buena Vista, had put his hands on her and she is currently pregnant. She had visible marks on her arm from where he had grabbed her when she tried to call the police for help. While police were talking to the victim, Case called multiple times demanding that she gets the police “off of him” or he would commit suicide. Case stated during the call he was not going to go back to jail and would harm himself if the police showed up. As deputies arrived at Case’s address, Huntingdon officers heard “shots fired” over the radio. When officers arrived on scene, Case was already deceased.

Earlier in the day, officers had responded to the same address for a similar complaint involving the same individual, later identified as Michael Walker, 64, of Huntingdon. When officers arrived, Walker immediately began yelling and using profane language at the officers and refused to answer any questions. Officers noted that Walking was slurring his speech and had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.
