Huntingdon Police Reports
From the Dec 23, 2025 e-EditionDomestic Assault — According to a report made December 10, Patrolman Daniel Inman responded to a 911 hang-up call at a residence on Bridgeman Street in Huntingdon. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a woman sitting inside her vehicle outside the residence who appeared visibly upset. She stated she had come to the residence to retrieve personal items and belongings for the child she shares with Ja’Shawn Turner, and that Turner willingly allowed her inside.
The woman reported that she went into Turner’s bedroom to gather the child’s belongings and opened a drawer when Turner approached her and began grabbing her, proceeding to drag her around the residence. She stated the altercation then moved back into the bedroom, where Turner forced her hands behind her back and attempted to slam her to the ground. She advised that she braced herself against furniture in an attempt to stop him, but Turner then threw her to the ground, causing her head to strike the floor.
She further stated that Turner placed his arm around her neck in a choke-hold-type motion, but clarified that she was not strangled and did not lose consciousness. Officers observed visible injuries to the woman, including a busted lip and swelling to her right eye. Officers also observed scratches and bite marks on Turner’s arm and scratches on his face, consistent with physical resistance during the altercation.
Witnesses reported hearing a disturbance and screaming coming from the residence, and a neighboring resident stated she heard a female screaming for her life. Based on the statements provided, witness accounts, visible injuries, and physical evidence, Turner was determined to be the primary aggressor. Turner was arrested and charged with domestic assault and transported to the Carroll County Jail, where he will be held without bond pending appearance before a judge.
