Huntingdon Police Reports
From the Aug 20, 2024 e-EditionDomestic Assault — According to a report made on August 3, 2024, by Officer Malachi Arline, officers responded to the Huntingdon Police Department in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival, officers talked to the victim, April Hester, who stated that she was assaulted by the father of her children, Reginald Gordon, 45, of Huntingdon. According to Hester’s statement, her and Reginald were in a vehicle traveling down Lexington Street when there was a verbal altercation and Gordon hit the victim on the right side of her face with his fist. Ms. Hester had visible signs on her face of being hit. At approximately 10:30 p.m., Sgt Parham and officer Arline placed Reginald Gordon under arrest for domestic assault.
Criminal Trespass — According to a report made on August 1, 2024, by Officer Angie Barker, she received a call to respond to Huck’s regarding a male that was bothering customers and employees. When Barker arrived, she spoke to Maurice Lawerence, 31, of McKenzie, and he advised her he was homeless and had no where to go. Maurice had been told many times not to come back to Huck’s or he would be arrested for criminal trespass. He was then arrested and transported to Carroll County jail.
Sex Offender — According to a report made on July 27, 2024, by Sgt Tony King, he conducted a traffic stop on a brown Toyota. This stop was conducted on Mustang Dr in front of the High School. The vehicle had been clocked on the radar at 78 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. The driver, Harold King, 29, of Dyer, was noted to be a registered sex offender. There were three young boys in the vehicle with King and it was determined they were all minors. A family member pulled along side and the two younger boys went with her, and the sixteen-year-old stayed in Mr. King’s vehicle. Sgt Tony King was having issues determining whether or not the juveniles could be in Mr. King’s vehicle alone. Harold was cited and released for the traffic violation and after further investigation it was found that Harold was in violation of his Sex Offender Registry restrictions. Warrants have been swore to and copies will be sent for him to be rrested. There will be three warrants, one for each child.
