Huntingdon Police Reports 9-23-25
From the Sep 23, 2025 e-EditionTheft of Merchandise — According to a report made on Sept. 6, Officer Brad Allen was dispatched to Walmart in Huntingdon for a shoplifting complaint. Store security stated that Laquita R. Baker, 49, had taken a dog bed, a can of Lysol spray, and a woman’s skirt, valued together at $42.97. The merchandise was recovered, and Baker was cited into General Sessions Court for theft of property involving merchandise.
Criminal Trespass — According to a report made on Aug. 29, Sgt. Ethan Parham cited Angela Daily, 36, for criminal trespass. Daily had previously been banned from all Walmart properties nationwide after an incident in Milan on March 25. She was observed inside Huntingdon Walmart in violation of that notice and was cited in Carroll County General Sessions Court.
Driving While License Suspended, Speeding — According to a report made on Sept. 1, Officer Malachi Arline stopped a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado on West Main Street for traveling 48 mph in a 30-mph zone. The driver, Joshua B. Wyatt, 47, was found to have a suspended license out of Madison County for failure to appear. Wyatt was cited for speeding, driving while license suspended, and receipt of driver’s license for suspension. He was given 10 days to report to Carroll County Jail to be booked and receive a court date.
Driving on Suspended License — According to a report made on Aug. 25, Sgt. Ethan Parham investigated a vehicle accident involving Shawn D. Dill, 60. During the investigation, a check through dispatch confirmed Dill’s driver’s license was suspended following a failure to appear in Huntingdon City Court in 2012. Dill was cited for driving on a suspended license, first offense, and given 10 days to report to Carroll County Jail for booking and a court date in General Sessions Court.
Burglary, Theft of Merchandise, Criminal Trespass — According to a report made on Aug. 29, Sgt. Ethan Parham responded to Walmart in Huntingdon, where Skyla Kelm, 24, was observed attempting to leave the store with unpaid merchandise. Kelm had previously been banned from all Walmart properties on March 25 and had signed a criminal trespass notice. Loss prevention reported that she had taken items on multiple occasions. The total restitution owed to Walmart was $144.58. After being read her rights, Kelm admitted to taking items because she needed them and did not have a job. She was arrested for Burglary, Theft of Property- Conduct Involving Merchandise, and Criminal Trespass, and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Domestic Assault, Interference with Emergency Calls — According to a report made on Aug. 31, Sgt. Ethan Parham responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Forrest Hill Drive in Huntingdon. A woman reported that her boyfriend, Torey L. Watson, 30, had taken her phone multiple times as she attempted to call 911, threw household items causing damage, pushed her, and chest-bumped her during the altercation. She also stated that Watson had frightened her and that she had been fearful for her safety for several months. Watson was arrested at the scene and transported to Carroll County Jail, where he was charged with domestic assault and interference with emergency calls.
Public Intoxication — According to a report made on Aug. 27, Officer Jonathan McDowell responded to East Main Street in Huntingdon regarding a man lying near the road. The individual, William H. Hollowell, 42, was found intoxicated, with vomit on his clothing, and admitted to excessive drinking and taking over-the-counter pain medication. Hollowell was transported by EMS to the hospital as he was unfit for arrest. Charges were placed on file to be served once he was released from the hospital.
