Retaliation Against Police Officer — Rashad D. McCreary, 20, Walnut Circle, McKenzie, was arrested for an online threat posted against Officer Darren Davis.

A report filed by Officer Davis indicated McCreary threatened the officer in an online post on Snapchat following a traffic stop Davis performed on McCreary.

The online threat indicated McCreary was not happy about the stop for his tinted windows and then threatened Davis and other officers.

The District Attorney authorized McCeary’s arrest, and officers from McKenzie Police Department, Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol served the warrant and made the arrest.  McCreary said “I was joking” and “I removed it”, referring to the online post.

Evading Arrest — Monetavious D. Finch, 33, Paris, was charged with Evading Arrest, Driving on a Revoked License on January 25.

According to a report by Officer Steven Scott, Finch failed to stop when the officer activated his blue lights. He drove about one-quarter mile, stopped, and exited, running on foot. He was arrested.

Driving on a Revoked License — Stacy L. Garner, 49, Barksdale Avenue, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License and Display of Registration Plate Violation on January 21.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped Garner’s vehicle for inoperable lights on the registration plate. A check of her license revealed the suspended status. She was charged as noted and cited into court.

Driving on Suspended License — Thomas A. Walker, 20, McDonald Avenue, McKenzie was charged a Suspended License violation and Light Law Violation on January 21.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped Walker’s vehicle with an inoperable headlight. A check of his license revealed the suspended status. Walker was cited into court.

Evading Arrest, Prohibited Weapon — Timothy Hickey, 35, Herd Law Lane, Trenton, was charged with Evading Arrest, Prohibited Weapon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on January 24.

Officer Steven Scott witnessed Hickey on a motorcycle on January 22. The motorcycle was operated by Hickey and failed to stop. Officer Scott was able to arrest Hickey at a residence on January 24. He had a glass pipe and a pair of knuckles and was taken into custody for outstanding warrants in Weakley County, including felony evading, drug paraphernalia, and prohibited weapons.

Violation of Probation — Monetavious D. Finch, 333, Paris, reported to the McKenzie Police Department to ‘turn himself in’ for outstanding warrants for Violation of Probation and Failure to Appear. He was transported to Carroll County Jail on January 23.

Display of Registration Plates — Barbara Griffin, 49, Kuttawa, Kentucky, was charged with Display of Plates Violation, Simple Possession and Light Law on January 24.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped the vehicle for inoperable license plate lights. The officer indicated he smelled marijuana and the driver said she smoked marijuana for medical purposes. A blunt of green leafy material was located during a vehicle search. She was cited into General Sessions Court.

Vandalism — Jaleesa L. Cherry, 32, Knox Street, Huntingdon, was charged with Vandalism on January 24.

Officer Darren Davis charged Cherry after she kicked open the door of her brother’s bedroom, damaging the door and a TV, causing damage estimated at $957.

Vandalism — Two residents of a house on Caldwell Street discovered a broken window at their residence and reported the damage to police on January 25.

Officer Darren Davis responded and found additional broken windows and a rock inside the home. The landlord was notified.

Theft of Handgun — Kenyale M. Cliff, 21, Trenton Highway, Humboldt, was charged with Theft of Property, Display of Registration Plates, Expired Registration and Violation of Financial Responsibility on January 27.

Officer Dustin McClure stopped Cliff’s vehicle for non-function lights on the registration plates. The officer smelled marijuana and served the vehicle. Inside was a loaded handgun reported stolen in Jackson. The vehicle was towed from the scene and Cliff was charged and arrested on charges noted above.
