DUI, Speeding — Thomas Robert Davidson, 34, Main Street, McKenzie, was charged with Driving Under the Influence - First Offense and Speeding on October 12.

Officer Jackson Henderson stopped Davidson’s vehicle for traveling 62 mph in a 40 mph zone. Upon contact with the driver, the officer noticed Davidson was seemed impaired and there were containers of alcoholic beverages in the vehicle.

A field sobriety test resulted in Davidson’s arrest. The vehicle was impounded and Davidson was transported to Baptist Hospital-Carroll County for a blood-alcohol test and then to Carroll County Jail.

Driving on Suspended License — Joviel Elian Tiul Choc, 22, Dale Drive, Milan was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on October 16.

Officer Timothy Dillon stopped Choc’s vehicle for failure to maintain lane. A check of the driver’s license revealed the suspended license. He was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court. A passenger in the car had a valid license and was given permission to drive the car.

Vicious Dogs at Large — Michael Anthony Cutts, 50, Maple Street, McKenzie was charged with Allowing Vicious Dogs to Run at Large on October 19.

Officer Matthew Cunningham was dispatched to Maple Street where two pit bulls were attacking a boy as he was attempting to ride his bicycle.

Cutts had retrieved the dogs and placed them in his pickup truck when the officer arrived. Both dogs were transported to the McKenzie Dog Pound.

The child sustained bites to his right arm, leg, and buttocks. The child received emergency care at Baptist Hospital, where he received sutures to close the wounds plus a treat of antibiotics.

Cutts was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court.
