From the Nov 18, 2025 e-EditionDriving on Suspended License — Frederick Jon Godfrey, 52, McKenzie, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on November 12.
Officer Billy Burson initiated a stop on Godfrey’s vehicle after observing that the license plate lights were inoperable. A check of Godfrey’s license revealed the suspended status due to his failure to file an insurance certificate following a citation in Gleason. Godfrey was cited in Carroll County General Sessions Court.
Theft — A Bertha Street residence reported the theft of a 22-foot flatbed trailer on November 3.
Officer Timothy Dillon took the report from the homeowner. A neighbor had surveillance cameras at his home and provided video of the suspect vehicle, a gray Dodge 3500 truck.
Theft — A set of tires was stolen from a Grandberry Street home on November 14.
Officer Hayden Rembert was dispatched to the address, where the occupant stated a lady in a red car had taken the tires. Other items reported stolen were a bicycle, tools, and a backpack, also possibly taken by the female.
The complainant was watching the house while the owner was incarcerated in Carroll County Jail.
The case is under investigation.
