From the Mar 3, 2026 e-EditionTheft — Laquice A. Newbill, Anderson Street, Milan, was charged with Theft on February 24.
Officer Dalton Raspberry responded to Dollar General, Highway 22 north, McKenzie, to a report of shoplifting. The store representative reported that two people entered the store, unpackaged $240 worth of Febreze Air Fresheners, and left the empty boxes behind. The officer and store officials viewed the surveillance video and identified the subject.
Dollar General issued ban notices for the subjects to prevent them from returning to the store. Officer Raspberry cited Newbill into Henry County General Sessions Court. The incident indicates Newbill has additional warrants in other counties.
Public Intoxication — Ritesh B. Patel, Como Street, McKenzie, was charged with Public Intoxication on February 25.
Officer Jeff Winberry responded to a 911 call on Highland Drive and observed Patel unsteady on his feet and falling.
