McKenzie Police Reports
From the Mar 17, 2026 e-EditionTheft of Vehicle — Robert Neil Hammon, Hazel Circle, McKenzie, was arrested in Missouri on March 10 while driving a vehicle he stole from a relative.
McKenzie Police SRO Colton Broyles was working traffic at McKenzie Middle School when Hammon drove up in school traffic, made some remarks, and drove away.
Broyles called for other officers to attempt to locate the vehicle. In the meantime, Hammon’s relative called the MPD to report her car missing and accused Hammon of theft. She stated Hammon had phoned his mother and stated he was in St. Louis with a flat. A BOLO - be on the lookout- was issued in Missouri and Tennessee. Hammon was arrested in Missouri and held for McKenzie authorities.
Authorities from the Des Peres Police Department in Missouri contacted MPD Investigator Kylle Beauchamp.
DUI — Blake Roberts, Hillview Apartments, McKenzie, was arrested on March 13 for Driving Under the Influence.
Officer Michael Cunningham was patrolling on Hamilton Street when he noticed a pickup truck swerve several times. The officer initiated a traffic stop and suspected the driver was under the influence. Roberts’ license was suspended for a prior DUI.
Sergeant Jeff Winberry contacted the vehicle owner, who knew that Roberts’ license was suspended. The driver was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon for a blood-alcohol test and then to Carroll County Jail. The vehicle was impounded.
Active Warrants — Frank D. Hoggs, Paris Pike, McKenzie, was arrested on March 11 on two active, outstanding warrants.
Assistant Chief Trey Boucher arrested Mr. Hogg at his residence on a Failure to Appear warrant in Obion County and a warrant from Lake County for DUI.
Multiple Charges — Terry Ethan Swafford, Atwood Highway, Milan, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Unlawful Use of Electronic Device While Driving, Violation of Financial Responsibility, and Violation of Child Restraint device on March 10.
Officer Timothy Dillon observed Swafford using his cell phone while driving. Dillon initiated a stop and observed three small children not properly secured in child restraint devices. Swafford was cited in Carroll County General Sessions Court and allowed to proceed with the car after the children were properly restrained.
Domestic Assault — Terrance Terrell Davis, Jr., Hastings Circle, Memphis, was charged with Domestic Assault after an incident with his girlfriend on Walnut Circle on March 8.
Sergeant Darren Davis arrived on the scene with Patrolman Matthew Cunningham to the Walnut Circle residence of a report of an altercation.
A female responded to the door when officers arrived. The report indicates the female had a facial cut. The officers interviewed the female and Davis separately and determined Davis had assaulted her. There was evidence that they both were active in the altercation. Davis was arrested and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Driving on Suspended License — Karen Ann Corrado, Highland Street, Bruceton, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License on March 7.
Officer Jackson Henderson stopped Corrado’s vehicle because the license plate had expired. When he spoke with the driver, he learned that her license was suspended in Henry County and Benton County due to Failure to Appear charges. She was cited into Carroll County General Sessions Court.
Active Warrants — Antwon L. Owens, Walnut Avenue, McKenzie, was arrested on March 10 on active warrants for Shoplifting in Henry County and Felony Possession of a Firearm in Madison County, Alabama.
Officer Timothy Dillon and Sgt. Beauchamp arrested Owens at Dollar General on Highway 22. He was transported to Henry County Jail.
Theft — A Randle Street resident reported his dump trailer was stolen on March 7 from his residence.
Officer Darren Davis filed the report for Charles Johnson, who stated his trailer had a tongue lock on it. A video indicates it was removed by a white four-door Dodge pickup truck.
Disorderly Conduct — Roger Dale Lawson, Florida Avenue, McKenzie, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct on March 15.
Sergeant Jeff Winberry reported to a business on Magnolia Street, where Lawson was yelling and screaming in public. Winberry advised Lawson to go home and not to yell anymore. Later, Winberry was dispatched to Florida Avenue, where Lawson was continuing to be disorderly. He was taken into custody.
