From the Jun 17, 2025 e-EditionBurglary, Aggravated Criminal Trespassing, Theft — On June 15, a call was placed to dispatch that a trespasser was on a property located on North Stonewall. When Sgt. Coleman responded, he saw Joshua Saylor flee the scene on foot. The victim stated that he, Saylor, was in the shed in the backyard and had taken a fishing rod and reel.
Saylor was later located near the intersection of Moore Street and Como Street. He was placed under arrest and charged with burglary, aggravated criminal trespass, and theft under $1,000. Saylor was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Driving on Suspended/Revoked License — On June 12, Ptlm. Dustin McClure initiated a traffic stop on a 2004 Saturn traveling north on Highland Dr. The driver later identified as Chris Moses, Jr.. The driver was asked if he was smoking marijuana and he confirmed. He was advised of the repercussions of driving while under the influence. Dispatch checked the status of Moses’ license and advised that it was suspended out of Dickson General Sessions for Failure to Appear and Failure to satisfy fines/costs/taxes on a criminal offense.
He was advised he would be receiving a citation into Carroll County General Sessions and had 10 days to report to Carroll County Jail for Driving on a Suspended License.
Stop Sign/Driving on Suspended License — On June 12, Ptlm. Dustin McClure observed a 2004 Dodge Stratus traveling east on Walnut Ave. The vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign. A stop was initiated on Cedar and Main St. The driver, Russell Lee Mullins, stated he didn’t mean to run the red light. Mullins’ license came back as suspended out of McKenzie City Court for failure to file insurance.
He was advised of his driving status and advised of the 10-day book into Carroll County Jail for Driving on Suspend and Failure to stop at a stop sign.
Driving on Suspended License — On June 11, Ptlm. Dustin McClure observed Ashley Snead driving north on Stonewall Street. Having prior knowledge that Snead was on a suspended license, a stop was initiated. Snead stated that she did not realize her license was suspended.
She was advised of his driving status and advised of the 10-day book into Carroll County Jail for Driving on Suspend.
Public Intoxication — On June 11, dispatch advised officers of a male, later identified as Jimmy Fuzzell, lying in a ditch around Paris Pike and Heather Drive. Ptlm. Dustin McClure and Asst. Chief Boucher observed Fuzzell slurring his words and unable to keep himself standing.
Fuzzell was picked up off the ground and was handcuffed. The strong odor of alcohol could be smelt. He was transported to Carroll County Jail and was placed on an 8-hour hold for his own safety while being charged with public intoxication.
Domestic Assault — On June 13, McKenzie Officers were dispatched at Everett Street to a possible domestic assault between husband and wife. The caller stated that the male subject had left on foot heading towards Walnut Ave. Officers were able to locate the male, Billy Borum.
He stated that he and his wife had been involved in a verbal dispute and had walked away. Borum was detained and transported back to Everett Street.
Contact was then made with Tracy Borum, who stated that after the verbal dispute had occurred, Billy struck her before leaving the residence.
Contact was then made with the caller, who stated she witnessed the verbal/physical dispute.
Billy Borum was then placed under arrest for Domestic Assault and transported to Carroll County Jail.
Criminal Trespass — On June 13, Ptlm. Timothy Dillon was dispatched to Pocket’s Gas Station and was advised that Maurice Lawrence was on the property.
Lawrence has an active ban notice from the location. He was taken into custody for Criminal Trespass.
Earlier in the afternoon, Lawrence was given a verbal warning to stay off the property and if he returned then he would be charged.
