Manufacture Methamphetamines / Driving White in Possession of Methamphetamine / Drug Paraphernalia — On July 19, 2024, Patrolman Dustin McClure observed a gold Ford-150 traveling west on TN-423. The vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was identified as Charles William Arant. Dispatch advised the vehicle’s registration was expired.

With probable cause, the vehicle was searched revealing 3.5 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Arant was charged with possession of methamphetamine, driving while in possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, removal of decal, failure to stop at a stop sign. Arant was taken to the Carroll County Jail for booking into General Sessions.

Driving under the influence — On July 16, 2024, Patrolman Steven Scott responded to a call about a vehicle being driven by someone possibly impaired. Ptl. Scott observed the vehicle almost hitting a curb while traveling on Forrest Ave. After initiating a stop, the driver, Kevin Milton, smelled of alcohol and stated he had been drinking. Asked on a scale from 1-10 on his level of being impaired, Milton stated he was a four.

Milton was asked to perform and failed a field sobriety test. Milton consented to a blood or breath sample. No further information was provided in the report.
